Dear Fashion Diary: I Am Tickled Purple

When it comes to dresses, I tend to stick to neutral colors like brown, black, olive green, and gray but there is a change on the horizon.

I was pursuing the racks at Target one day when this hint of purple caught my sight. On the clearance rack, hidden between a pair of black leggings, and green sweater, I spotted this purple dress that just so happened to in my size. I was instantly attracted to the richness of the hue coupled with the silkiness of the material and I knew I just had to have it.

Because color blocking is so hot right now, I decided to pair the dress with colorful accessories and neutral shoes.

Dear Fashion Diary: My Cannon & Me

If you follow me on Twitter, you know that I recently invested in a new camera, and you also know how excited I was to finally receive my Cannon EOS Rebel T3i DSLR. The day it arrived in the mail had to have been the longest day of my life. My day at work went on, and on, and I promise at one time, the clock stood completely still.

I ordered this camera because I wanted to increase the quality of my photos and videos, and just could not resist the thought that I may have been bitten by the photography bug. I want to do more entries into this here “Fashion Diary” and needed a camera that would catch the charming details of my many different outfits.

Telling you this camera is awesome is not doing it any justice at all. It is everything I dreamed of and more! The pictures it creates, even with the kit lens are so clear and the video, crisp. I have had it less then 2 weeks now and have already purchased a different lens, an extra battery, and a gorgeous camera bag.

After reading the extra thick manual, I manage to shoot a photo or two and put together this latest entry into my fashion diary. I think now is a good time to finally take those photography classes.

Dear Fashion Diary: 2012…The Year of Style

I really cannot believe that it is 2012. Last year was such a wonderful blur of trumps, great trends, and new discoveries. I brought in the new year in a simple yet uber-haute black dress to symbolize how I plan to live out the days of 2012…with more style and more risks.
