IT Girls…I promise that I have a darn good reason for being MIA for the last 3 months. Many of you already know that I have been planning my wedding for the last year, and while I maintained my cool during the entire process, keeping my inner bridezilla at bay, the actual planning process took more time and energy then I ever imagined.
I told myself that I was going to keep the majority of the planning process private, but during my hiatus, I received so many words of encouragement from readers that I quickly changed my mind and decided to share our special day with you.
I am pleased to announce that this April, I got to marry my best friend in the whole wide world. We opted for a small and intimate destination wedding set in Montego Bay, Jamaica along the calm blue waters of the Caribbean Sea.
My bouquet was a simple arrangement of light peach roses, wrapped in raffia.
On my feet I donned a absolutely gorgeous pair of midnight-blue sparkling peep toe pumps by Jimmy Choo.
My dress…a lace and satin beaded gown by Texas based wedding dress designer Audrey Hart.
Our cake was a 3-tiered spiced Jamaican fruit cake with white fondant, Yellow Oncidium and Fuchsia Dendrobium Orchids Cake Topper accented with a tangerine satin ribbon.
Our wedding weekend was one of the happiest times of my husband’s and I lives. We were surrounded by nothing but love from our closest family and friends with the breathtaking beaches and waters of Jamaica as our backdrop.
Stay tuned for Part II of this post where I share some of my favorite moments of our 7 day honeymoon vacation.
