Hello June

Hello June

Well it is official…2015 is almost half over and the way time has flown reminds me that we all need to not only create but actually live our best lives TODAY.  It is so easy to get wrapped up in our need to improve ourselves that we forget to live in the moment and enjoy the fruits of our labor.

The month of June is dedicated to living glamorously simple; simple goals, simple hair, simple makeup, and simply loved.  I will…

  • Worry less.  Worrying has never kept bad things from happening, it just prevents us from enjoying the good things in life.  It places an unnecessary focus on things that many times we have no control over.  I will focus my energies on things I can control like my fitness level, my personal growth, and my level of peace.
  • Make more time for family & friends.  Living in the present often includes cultivating the relationships with those you hold close to your heart.  While small, my circle of family and friends is an invaluable resource of love and support that has always kept me grounded throughout my life.
  • Minimize my surroundings.  I began minimizing the clutter in my home in April in the spirit of the Kon Marie Method and now will work on simplifying my wardrobe, skin care routine, makeup routine, and daily tasks.  I will only purchase and use things that bring me joy and leave the rest.

What are your personal goals for June?  Leave a comment and lets discuss.

  • Kristin Nicole Washington-Mart

I love your goals and I want to piggy back off of yours. I also need to get rid of junk in my life: house, food, etc…

    • Decluttering your space is life changing. You will be surprised how clearly you can think without all of the obstructions.

  • I love your goals! My goal for June is to also worry less, and be more confident!

    • Yes! Worrying less has taken so much off of my shoulders and guess what…I am no more or less prepared then before when life throws me a curve ball.
