There are a list of key things in life that I will very rarely pass up on like shopping, lattes, the opportunity to meet new people, and NARS. As one of the newest additions to Houston’s extra elite River Oaks District, the NARS boutique has been on my list of “must-visit” shopping destinations but due to my busy schedule I could never find the time to drop by until recently where I was able to attend the Brunch and Slay Pink Holiday NARS Event.
When I received the invite via Instagram, I was immediately intrigued by the Brunch and Slay story. Houston is a huge city with millions of residents making finding new friends who are as interested and passionate about makeup a daunting task. When presented with the opportunity to bond over beauty I jumped out of my seat and instantly RSVP’d.
Brunch and Slay, the brainchild of military veteran and networking maven Ameerah Saine (pictured above), was created as a way for women to connect with each other over shopping, cocktails, and light bites in an effort to motivate and uplift each other.
“It’s about like-minded women joining together to invest in ourselves by sharing real-talk discussions, motivating each other to follow our dreams, sharing our resources and learning from game-changers in different industries. The empowerment doesn’t end when the doors close because a portion of all Brunch & Slay profits goes directly to helping charities that promote and support women and girls in our community.”- Ameerah
Each guest at the Pink Holiday event had the opportunity to walk the pink carpet, take selfies in front of the super gorgeous Brunch and Slay backdrop, celebrate the release of the NARS holiday collection and sample and purchase coveted products with the help and advice of NARS makeup artists. The night was filled to the brim with the spirit of sisterhood as women received mini makeovers, networked and participated in NARS giveaways.
