That Time I Wore Furry Poms

I rarely admit that I am not the biggest risk taker when it comes to fashion.  I love solids and simple jewelry and want nothing more then to someday find the perfect pair of skinny jeans.  I describe my style as casually cute with a touch of glam and am the type of girl that will don a $60 foundation and a $15 t-shirt.

A few months ago in an edition of #ITGirlsRock, I had the pleasure of interviewing Jacque Amadi, now proud owner of Adorned by Chi, a stylishly quirky online boutique specializing in feminine hair accessories, trinkets and handbags.

“At Adorned by Chi we believe you can be elegant and charming, but also quirky and playful. To us, every day is a good day to play dress up, and there’s never such a thing as too much glitter! We’re daydreamers, puppy lovers, and our ultimate goal in life is to ride a unicorn while taking on the world (a girl can dream right?).

Our selection of handmade floral crowns, headwear, cheeky handbags and trinkets are perfect for weddings, photoshoots and events- or to add a little bit of whimsy to your everyday wear!”

Jacque was so kind to send me one of her handmade Pom Pom Ear Headbands ($15) and as soon as I placed the cutesy furry knobs on my head I instantly felt frisky almost cat-like and that’s when the makeup play started.

ColorPop Cosmetics.

With such a statement headpiece similar to this headband it was only natural for me to pair it with a statement makeup look.  I recently reviewed the Super Shock Shadows from ColourPop and found the extra bold colors, especially Coconut, a vivid blue shade perfect.  Watch on as I proceed to beat my face for my fuzzy eared photo shoot and in the meantime, make sure you visit Adorned by Chi’s full collection here, and follow on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
