5 Beauty Launches to Get Excited for in 2016

Happy 2016 IT Girls!  Here we are 6 days into the new year and I already have so many makeup items on my wish list.  I love the beginning of the year because many beauty brands, with renewed vigor, release makeup and skin care products that were merely rumors the year before and I am eager to share my most anticipated launches.

1. Jacklyn Hill Makeup Collection

Jacklyn Hill nearly broke the internet with her limited-edition Becca Cosmetics Champagne Pop highlighter and now, according to Refinery29, the YouTube power-guru will be releasing an independent makeup line. Hill will start off with a collection lipstick shades housed in “silver and white with blingy rhinestones” that is set to release in February 2016.  I will be sure to post a detailed update as soon as more information about this lipstick lineup is released.

2. Urban Decay XX Vice Reloaded Eyeshadow Palette

The Urban Decay Vice Reloaded palette will come full of 20 highly pigmented shades, some of which are cult favorites amongst Urban Decay fans.  This Ulta exclusive will be available online and in stores January 24th.

3. Karrueche x Colourpop “KaePop” Makeup Collection

If you have not heard of ColourPop Cosmetics then I am seriously side-eyeing you right now.  In 2015, as if it was that long ago, I discovered the Los Angeles based makeup brand and to say that I was impressed with their super saturated wallet-friendly goodies is an understatement.  If you’ve been paying attention to the beauty rumor mill then you’ve seen clues hinting at a  ColourPop and Karrueche Tran collaboration. Well, I am happy to announce that the official launch date has finally been announced on ELLE. The KaePop by Karrueche x ColourPop collection will feature lipsticks, lip pencils, and eyeshadows just to name a few and will be released January 22 on ColourPop.com.

5. Glam Glow Gravitymud™ Firming Treatment

I LOVE peel off masks.  The sensation of physically toning and clarifying the skin is so satisfying that I get tingly just thinking about it.  The folks over at Glam Glow have recently introduced the Gravitymud™ Firming Treatment; a silver peel-off mask that promises to leave skin tighter and lifted.  This mask is available now at  Sephora.

  • I’m on my way to check for that new Glam Glow. My skin is going thru some major issues right now and I gotta figure out what the heck is going on. I’m excited to see what the Karrueche collabo brings too tho.

    • I ordered from the Color Pop x Karrueche line when it launched and it is worth every penny.

  • all of these seem awesome! The one that excites me the most is UD but I’m kind of curious to see what the KaePop collection would be like. Probably a bunch of nude shades since I don’t see her wearing much makeup.

    • I am really excited for KaePop and will probably purchase. I may hold off on a little while with the UD palette.
